Sports, games & work
Four topics made of things everybody already knows โ which is exactly why they are hard to describe in four columns.
Sports
Video Games
Vehicles & Transport
Jobs & Professions
Numbers with arrows
Two topics here are graded on a raw number โ team size in Sports, wheel count in Vehicles โ and numeric columns behave differently from everything else in SIXTH. You get a โฒ or โผ telling you which way to move, the cell turns green when you are within about ten per cent, and yellow when you are within about a quarter. So a guess of eleven that comes back green does not mean eleven; it means close to eleven. Use the arrow, not the number.
The four topics
Sports
Team size, the object you play with (ball, puck, shuttlecock, stone, none), venue and whether it is Olympic. "None" in the object column is the giveaway for the athletics, swimming and combat sports; the stone is one sport and one sport only, which makes it the single funniest green in the game.
Video Games
Decade, genre, platform and player mode. Decade runs from the 1970s, so arcade-era classics sit at one end and battle royales at the other. Genre is the big splitter โ platformer, shooter, racing, sports, puzzle, RPG, sandbox, strategy, fighting, horror, party, battle royale โ and platform separates the console exclusives from the games that shipped everywhere.
Vehicles & Transport
Wheels, medium travelled (road, rail, water, air, off-road, space), passenger capacity and power source. Passenger capacity is an ordered scale โ 1, few, dozens, hundreds โ so yellow narrows sharply. Watch the wheel count on anything that flies or floats: zero is a real answer and the arrow still works from there.
Jobs & Professions
Sector, indoor or outdoor, uniform, and training length. Training runs none โ short โ years โ many years as an ordered scale, and it is the most decisive column in the topic: one yellow tells you whether you are looking at a trade, a degree or a decade of study. Uniform is a clean yes/no that splits the sectors in a way people rarely predict.
Why this family is worth playing on a losing streak
Nothing here depends on having watched a particular show or followed a particular
league. The answers are the furniture of ordinary life, so the rounds turn on reading
clues rather than on recall โ which makes these the best topics to practise on if you want
to get better at the game itself. Tap

of them as a ladder of their own.
