Animals, nature & space

Six topics built on ordered scales โ€” size, depth, danger, distance โ€” which makes yellow cells worth more here than anywhere else in the game.

๐Ÿ“ Play the scales, not the species

Every topic here grades you on at least one ordered scale: size runs tiny โ†’ small โ†’ medium โ†’ large โ†’ huge, depth runs surface โ†’ shallow โ†’ mid โ†’ deep, danger runs harmless โ†’ mild โ†’ dangerous โ†’ deadly. On an ordered scale a yellow cell means "exactly one step away", which is the strongest single clue SIXTH gives you.

So open in the middle. A medium-sized, mildly dangerous, mid-depth answer produces a row full of greens and yellows. A huge one produces a row of โœ• marks and a shrug.

๐Ÿพ The six topics

๐Ÿฆ Animals

Home continent, diet, size and habitat (land, water, air, trees). Diet is a three-way split โ€” herbivore, carnivore, omnivore โ€” and it is the cheapest column to reason about; habitat is the one that catches people, because plenty of famous animals live in trees rather than on the ground.

๐Ÿ  Sea Creatures

Depth, size, danger and biological type (fish, mammal, shellfish, mollusc, reptile, jelly, coral, bird). Three of those four are ordered, so this is the most information-dense topic in the family. Open with something mid-depth and medium-sized and read the arrows.

๐Ÿฆœ Birds

Size, colour, whether it flies, and home region. The flight column is a brutal splitter โ€” the flightless birds are a short, famous list, so a "no" there almost hands you the answer. Colour is unordered, so treat it as a straight hit or miss.

๐Ÿ Insects & Bugs

Size, wings, sting or bite, and where it lives (garden, forest, water, home, underground, tropics). The sting/bite column has three states rather than two, which is worth remembering before you assume a red means harmless.

๐Ÿช Space & Solar System

Type, distance band, rings, and whether you can see it with the naked eye. Type covers planets, dwarf planets, moons, stars, galaxies, asteroids, comets, spacecraft, telescopes, stations and constellations โ€” so this topic quietly includes human hardware alongside astronomy. Distance runs Earth orbit โ†’ inner system โ†’ outer system โ†’ beyond, ordered, so one yellow puts you in a specific neighbourhood.

๐ŸŽป Musical Instruments

Family (strings, woodwind, brass, percussion, keyboard, electronic), size, material and whether it belongs in an orchestra. Family and orchestra together corner the classical instruments fast; the folk and electronic instruments are where the deeper levels live.
